How to Select Pallet Rack
- Frame Capacity Add up the total weight of all pallets stored for each bay, (exclude pallets on the floor)
- Frame Height
Should be a minimum of 6" less than lift height of forklift
Add ____Height of pallet and load
Add ____Height of load beams
Add ____4" Vertical clearance for each load
Total____x number of levels
- Frame Depth Deduct 6" from depth of you pallet
This allow pallet to overhang frame by 3" front and back
(ie: 48" deep pallet would go to 42" deep frame)
- Beam Width Add width of pallets add 4" of clearance to each side (eg: width two pallets plus 2" of clearance)

Load Beams One piece tubular steel with a step design that accepts cross bars and decking. Beams have a 3 stud connector that engage the keyhole slots of the upright. Capacity is based on a maximum vertical spacing of 54", beams have a safety factor of 1.65 to 1. Color is orange.
